DRAKE RELEASES 'SCORPION' FEATURING RESERVOIR CUTS

6/29/2018

Drake released his highly anticipated fifth studio album, Scorpion, today via Young Money/Cash Money Records. The double LP features 25 tracks splitting the album into A- and B-sides. Fresh off of working on Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s Everything Is Love, James Fauntleroy collaborated on two Scorpion tracks. The Reservoir writer has featured vocals and a co-writing credit on the reflective “Finesse” and featured vocals on the confessional album closer “March 14." The final track on Side A “Is There More” features an interpolation of Reservoir catalog cut Aaliyah’s “More Than a Woman.” Finally, the track “In My Feelings” interpolates another Reservoir catalog cut, Lil Wayne’s #1 hip-hop track “Lollipop.”

Scorpion has since made streaming history, shattering Spotify, Amazon, and Apple Music's single-day streaming record for album streams. On Spotify, Scorpion's tracks has been streamed over 132 million times in its first 24 hours, while on Apple Music the double album garnered over 170 million streams worldwide its first day of release.
