RESERVOIR WRITERS CONTRIBUTE TO 16 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS NOMINATIONS

Nominees for the Billboard Music Awards were announced this morning and Reservoir writers have contributed to 16 nominations.

Post Malone’s “Rockstar (feat. 21 Savage)”, co-written by Joey Bada$$, is nominated for Top Hot 100 Song, Top Streaming Song (Audio), and Top Rap Song. ATL hip-hop group Migos earned nominations for Top Duo/Group and Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Album for Culture. Post Malone’s Stoney and Drake’s More Life also picked up Top Rap Album nominations and both album feature collaborations with Reservoir’s 2 Chainz.

Reservoir writers contributed to three of the five nominated works in the Top Dance/Electronic Album category, as AVICII’s AVĪCI (01), featuring the Ali Tamposi co-write “Lonely Together (feat. Rita Ora)”, Calvin Harris’ Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 featuring Reservoir cuts “Slide (feat. Migos)” “Heatstroke (feat. Young Thug, Pharrell Williams and Ariana Grande)” and “Holiday (feat. Snoop Dogg, John Legend, and Takeoff)”, and Kygo’s Stargazing which features “Stargazing” co-written by Jamie Hartman and “It Ain’t Me” co-written by Ali Tamposi. Additionally, Clean Bandit ft Sean Paul and Anne-Marie’s “Rockabye”, co-written by Ina Wroldsen and Kygo & Selena Gomez’ “It Ain’t Me” co-written by Ali Tamposi both earned nominations for Top Dance/Electronic Song.

Reservoir writers picked up two Top Collaboration nominations; Camila Cabello feat. Young Thug’s “Havana” and Post Malone feat. 21 Savage’s “Rockstar”.

The Black Panther and Moana Soundtracks were both nominated for Top Soundtrack. Black Panther features a 2 Chainz collaboration, while Reservoir writer-producer duo The Orphanage, co-produced the Alessia Cara cut on the Moana soundtrack.

Meanwhile, Reservoir writer James Fauntleroy’s contributions to Bruno Mars’ Grammy-winning album, 24K Magic, earned multiple nominations in top categories.

The Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, May 20th on NBC.
