ALI TAMPOSI NAMED ONE OF VARIETY’S 2017 HITMAKERS

11/22/2017

Reservoir writer Ali Tamposi has been named one of Variety Magazine’s hitmakers for the year. The inaugural list celebrates Variety’s first music franchise, honoring the top names in music. In conjunction with the list of hitmakers, Variety released the top 30 most consumed tracks of the year, which included Tamposi’s co-write, the Selena Gomez and Kygo smash, “It Ain’t Me”.

This has certainly been a banner year for Tamposi who recently took home the Spotify Secret Genius dance award and has been enjoying chart success worldwide, notably with the #1 and #2 records in the UK for her co-writes Camila Cabello’s “Havana”, and Rita Ora’s “Anywhere” respectively. “Havana” is also vying for the Billboard Hot 100 #1 in the States. Furthermore, Tamposi’s co-writes Selena Gomez & Marshmello’s “Wolves” and Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso’s “Let Me Go” featuring Florida Georgia Line, were both performed on the American Music Awards broadcast this past Sunday.
