FEKKY PREMIERES NEW MUSIC VIDEO “CAPPIN’ ON THE NET” VIA THE FADER

9/5/2017

UK rapper, Fekky, premiered a new music video for “Cappin’ On The Net” via The Fader this morning. The lavish music video shows Fekky in the club with his entourage, a moment that sets the confident and jubilant mood of the video, along with lyrics that act as a comeback to hate on the Internet. The south-London rapper’s words call out negativity online, most hate being all talk and no action, on the track, while the beat of the song gives an old-school New York rap vibe.

“’Cappin’ On The Net’ basically means talking rubbish on the internet,” Fekky told The Fader, “this track is about what I see in today’s world as a result of the influence of social media.”

A scene in the video where Fekky is riding high on top of a moving van down the empty streets of London, he described to The Fader as being his “favorite shot” due to the statement it leaves on viewers, one indicative of how Fekky himself feels—“on top!”

“Cappin’ On The Net” is the fourth track on Fekky’s debut studio album El Clasico, which dropped early last month. Fekky signed a deal with Reservoir/Reverb Music mid-August that includes the rights to Fekky’s entire catalog.
