LUCY ROSE RELEASES NEW ALBUM, ‘SOMETHING’S CHANGING’

7/7/2017

London-based singer-songwriter Lucy Rose dropped her third full-length album, Something’s Changing, today. Released via Communion Records, the album features 11 stripped back tracks with Lucy’s signature raw, acoustic sound behind them. In a Facebook Live session for fans last week, the Warwickshire native described the writing process, saying,“…especially with this new record, I've dug so much deeper into myself than I ever have before in my songwriting.” The album features collaborations with The Staves on lead single “Floral Dresses,” and a duet with Daughter’s Elena Tonra on “Soak It Up.” Additionally, instant grat track, “Moirai” was released last Friday alongside an exclusive Burberry live acoustic performance of the sentimental tune. Something’s Changing is already racking up positive reviews; DIY Magazine commended Lucy for “show[ing] restraint, with a bare-bones approach that puts her voice front and centre” while the Irish Times praised her “lyrical depth and musical breadth."

The self-taught musician has been busy promoting the album globally. Music videos for singles “Is This Called Home” and “No Good At All” were released alongside the tracks this past spring. The singer also released her mini-documentary, Something’s Changing, which chronicles her 2016 DIY Latin American Tour and she hits the road to to premiere the film for fans on her international Cinema Tour across Asia, Europe and North America this summer.
