SUPER SPORTY SYNCS

2/4/2016

Let’s be real. We all know there’s only two reasons to watch the Superbowl: the larger-than-life half time show performed by some of the biggest stars on the planet and the pull-out-all-the-stops commercials that advertisers cook up for the big event. In anticipation of game day, we’ve compiled our favorite sporty syncs that will help you get hyped up for the main event. Check them out below:

Tune in this Sunday if you want to watch Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton take on the Broncos, but before then, catch him prepping for game-day in this Beats By Dre spot. Narrated by 2 Chainz and featuring his cut “Watch Out”, the ad sees Cam in the gym pushing himself to train harder under Chainz’ motto: "Just when I think I can’t go anymore I think about those who doubted me, and I do one more.”

Earlier this year, DJ, songwriter, and producer Statik Selektah penned original music for a Nike Jordan ad campaign featuring LA Clippers' forward Blake Griffin. The spot saw Griffin square off against Marvin the Martian, in a nod to 1996’s Space Jam. Statik’s intergalactic beats take this ad to a whole new level.

Heavily decorated tennis great Serena Williams, preps for an upcoming match with an intense workout session in this Beats by Dre spot. The superstar athlete proves that "nothing stops Serena" as she gets in the zone, rapping to 2 Chainz' song “Black Unicorn”.

From endzone struts to “Tebowing”, football players’ signature touchdown moves are everywhere these days. Verizon debuted a supercut of athletes’ victory dances for this celebratory NFL ad perfectly paired with Reservoir cut “Hello Good Morning” by Dirty Diddy Money. Makes you want to bust a move, too.

At first glance, you won’t believe this NBA Live video game trailer isn’t a real live-action clip. The game boasts exceptionally high quality visuals, setting themselves apart from other games on the market, which is why their choice to use 2 Chainz’ “I’m Different” as the sound bed feels oh-so-right.

What could be better than country heavy hitters Big & Rich coming to your city? This super fun spot from ESPN shows the boys doing exactly that, bringing their spirited stage show to a city near you for College Gameday. Now that’s a party we need to be at.

In this Showtime Sports promo for All Access: Mayweather vs Maidana, DJ Drama’s song “My Moment” featuring 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, & Jeremih, packs a punch to highlight the defining moments that make an athlete’s career.
