LUKE JAMES TO OPEN BEYONCÉ’S EUROPEAN DATES
Date:
Beyoncé’s heralded “Mrs. Carter Show” tour may have, impossibly, managed to generate even more excitement for its European audiences, tapping rising R&B star Luke James to open all performances from April 24th through May 19th, excepting Knowles’ May 28thperformance in Oslo.
Fresh off of his 2013 ‘Best R&B Performance’ Grammy nomination for his hit single “I Want You,” penned and produced in part by Reservoir writer Nate “Danja” Hills, James will be joining Knowles on tour for a second spell in as many years. The duo first shared a stage in 2012, with James opening for Beyoncé throughout her run at Revel in Atlantic City.
The two multi-talented artists have maintained a professional relationship and admiration for one another since James first emerged as a songwriter – writing for artists as accomplished as Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and Chris Brown – and as a dancer; James was personally selected by Knowles to showcase his dancing in her 2011 “Run The World (Girls)” video.
Now, in sight of another collaboration, Knowles is relishing the opportunity to bring James’ “pure…incredible falsetto” to Europe with her. “I am excited to have him join the tour and to introduce this soulful singer to an audience in Europe that will be discovering a true star.”
