KATY PERRY DROPS NEW ALBUM ‘WITNESS’ FEATURING MIGOS
Date:
Katy Perry released her long awaited fifth studio album, Witness, today, which includes single “Bon Appétit” featuring Reservoir rap group, Migos. Released by Capitol Records, the 15 track LP is her first in four years and will be accompanied by Witness: The Tour beginning this Fall.
The catchy dance-track singer and the popular rap trio have been preparing for the release, promoting the album through live performances at both the Met Gala and on Saturday Night Live last month, Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show with James Corden and releasing the seductive “Bon Appétit” music video. Perry described Witness to Billboard as a “‘360-degree liberation: mental liberation, sexual liberation, negative liberation, spiritual liberation…’” which perfectly characterizes the messages embedded in both her creative lyrics and powerful, one-of-a-kind performances. The album has already soared to number one on US iTunes charts in under 12 hours after its release, the singer announced via Twitter.
