Reservoir songwriter and producer Nate “Danja” Hills has been singled out by R&B music blog, You Know I Got Soul.

In a recorded interview, Danja takes YKIGS through his just a handful of his multiple collaborations, signature hits, and projects with New Age Rock Stars (N.A.R.S.), his independent record label.

“[Working with Timbaland was] the opportunity as individuals to enhance our craft outside of the camp we came from,” Danja says at one point, referring to his New Age Rock Stars counterpoint, sound engineer Marcella Araica.  At another point, he reflects on how he’s now able to nurture other developing artists through N.A.R.S., saying, “I think a lot of record labels have failed and it’s because the producers are so in the spotlight and so worried about their own brand that their artists fall to the wayside because they haven’t pushed their artists at all. I feel like my approach is to establish the artist first and then I come through and put the cherry on the top.”
