Cutfather

Cutfather is a successful producer, songwriter, and remixer, having had seven number 1 singles, thirty-seven top 10 singles in the UK, and four top 10 singles in the US.

Cutfather has written and produced music for artists such as Kylie Minogue, Jamelia, Brandy, Santana, Shayne Ward, Blue, Christina Aguilera, and Angie Stone, to name a few. Some of his best known works include Jamela’s “Superstar,” which was the third most played song in the world in 2003, and Mark Morrison’s “Return of the Mack,” which was a worldwide smash in 1996.

Music has always been a big part of his life, and when he started break dancing in the early 80s, his interest in becoming a DJ was born. In 1986, Cutfather won the Danish mixing championship, and again in 1988. The same year he took the second place in the prestigious DMC World Mixing Final in London. This led Cutfather to work on production and remixes for Queen Latifah, Living Colour, and Patti LaBelle. Two of these songs gave him a Grammy nomination for Best R&B and Best Rap Solo Performance.

In 2003, Cutfather won the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Work, for his smash hit “Superstar,” performed by Jamelia.
