Son of the legendary reggae artist Poison Chang, Stylo G has followed in his father’s footsteps, making his mark in the UK when Grime was at its peak and developing a pioneering style that bridges UK hip-hop and dancehall. 2012 was an explosive year for Stylo G with the release of underground smash“Call Mi a Yardie”. A quintessential carnival track, it won the support of radio, TV and DJs alike and prompted The Guardian newspaper to name-check StyloG as ‘one to watch’ in 2013. The single crossed continents receiving kudos and radio play as far afield as Japan and the USA.

Stylo G signed his first major record deal in 2013 with 3 Beat/Universal, the urban/dance label that is home to Sigma, Fuse ODG & more. “Soundbwoy” was his first major release which proved to be his breakthrough track, peaking at #18 on the UK Official Charts.

Creatively involved in the UK’s underground urban scene since his arrival, Stylo G first attracted attention in 2004 with the release of “My Yout”. Following that success he formed an outfit called ‘Warning Crew’ and dropped the first in a series of mixtapes, which sold thousands. Over the next few years he collaborated with many of the stars of the UK scene & internationally including Clean Bandit, Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, Shaggy, Wretch 32, Chipmunk, Giggs, Lady Leshurr, Sneakbo & more.

He started touring throughout Europe & Japan in 2016 and is actively working on his debut album scheduled for release in early 2017.
