As one of the stars of The Inc. label, Ja Rule, born Jeffrey Atkins, is a multi-platinum rapper with numerous hit singles under his belt. Ja Rule was one of the rap industry’s most commercially successful artists during the early 2000s. He started his career with featured verses on songs such as Jay-Z's "Can I Get A...", followed by his own chart topping singles "Holla Holla", "I Cry", and "Between Me and You". A versatile native of Queens, Ja Rule has not only written for his own albums, but has contributed to projects by R&B group Jagged Edge and Jennifer Lopez. Ja Rule also started an acting career, having appearances in several movies such as “The Fast and the Furious” with Vin Diesel, “Back in the Day” with Ving Rhames, “Half Past Dead” co-starring with Steven Segal, and “The Cookout” with Queen Latifah.
